The students of Stanley Humphries did a great job in helping the food bank. Over 1000 items were collected by the leadership class. Congratulations to the students in room 120 who gave the most items per capita!
Hello peer tutors!
Our first term is wrapping up and we want to know how you feel about your learning and your performance as a peer tutor. We will have a brief meeting Thursday, November 9th at 11:05 for all peer tutors to go over term end.
If you miss our meeting, there are a few ways you can do a self-assessment. The first is to use this link:
This will open up a form that has 13 quick questions for you to answer – mostly multiple choice. It will give you a chance to think and do a reflective assessment of your work.
There is also a posted QR code linked to the same form in the counseling office and on Madame St-Jacques’ office door.
If you prefer, you can set up a 10-minute appointment with Madame St-Jacques so we can go over the term and talk about your progress. I am happy to meet with you to talk about how you’ve been doing and find out about your experience as a peer tutor. Pop in to see me!
Self-Assessments need to be completed by November 10th.
Click on the link below to see what great activities the Castlegar Youth Action Network has in store for November.
And check out the Youth Open Mic and Concert!
This month the Business Education 10 class headed to Vancouver to expand their knowledge of retail business and tourism. The class spent two nights in Vancouver where they completed a study on customer service and the retail industry. They also toured the Vancouver Convention Centre and met with the International Business Manager at Destination BC, learning about the convention and BC tourism industries. Thank you to Rod MacLean of the Vancouver Convention Centre and Laura Hoppe from Destination BC for spending their time with our students.
